Problems With Covers

Okay, so this is a problem I've had for basically my whole life! I absolutely HATE when people cover classic rock songs and even new pop songs (this is why I despise Glee).

My first problem is when people cover classic rock songs, like the Beatles. The song will always be worse because I must admit, I do not like pop songs at all, and most covers now ARE pop. And it seems to me that the integrity of the song is always down-graded. Like, alot! And I see that a ton of pop singers are very very good singers, but it just doesn't cut it. Where are the guitar solos and the drums? All there is in the song is a creepy and annoying beat... that's it.

Now, here's another problem I have. A lot of people who are obviously not raised knowing older songs don't know WHEN A SONG IS BEING COVERED. I find with almost all my friends I listen to their favourite radio station, and I say:

"Oh, I recognize this song... Yeah, I like the original one a hell of a lot better"

But, then they say:

"Wait, I love this song! It's a cover?"

I just, I find it incredibly stupid of them, I'm sorry... But yeah, that's it.

And the last thing that I find more weird than anything else is when a song that isn't even 5 years old is covered! Wait a bit, or it'll just sound like the exact same song. Like in Glee, half the songs they cover sound the exact same, just cheesy and high-pitched and annoying. And I just think why bother covering the song if it is the SAME SONG?

So yeah, this is just a rant I have and needed to get out in the open and needed to get my message across, and there WILL be a video coming up about this.

My Florida Trip

So, if you haven't seen my video, or..... let's say my DOCUMENTARY of my trip to Florida over the winter break, and it was ssoooooso cool! We spent 6 full days in Kissimmee, plus 2 days for travel. Me and my parents went to a different kingdom at DisneyWorld each day, and a day in each park at Universal Studios.

So, my family is going on two more trips this year. And alot of people have asked me why I'm going on so many trips. Well, my primary answer was "Because I'd rather go on alot of vacations than none!". But, my second answer I'll tell you right now.

Mexico we go to for a week every winter. I go with my parents, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, etc. because it's our family reunion. A bunch of my family lives in or around Mexico, so that's kinda easiest for the most people.

Now, this year we are also going to New Zealand the week of March Break, and then the week after. We were originally going to go to Hawaii, but if I had to choose between the two, New Zealand for sure! This was supposed to happen two summers ago, but it was put off until now. In my family, when everyone turns 12 they get to go on a two-week vacation with my grandma. But, since she had a stroke a couple years ago, she can't travel alone, so now she pays for me and my parents to go without her.

But, this trip to Florida was something different. I have been to Florida probably 4 times in my life, and only once did I ever go to DisneyWorld, when I was 3 years old and I barely remembered any of it. I've never been anywhere in Universal Studios (and I was PSYCHED to see Hogsmeade and Harry Potter World). My brothers have both been to DisneyWorld nine times. Universal Studios four times.

So when I heard this, my initial reaction was "What the HELL?! I wanna go!", so my parents looked into it and found a deal where it was cheap-well, as cheap as it could be- and we headed off about 2 weeks later. So yeah, that's the story of how we decided to go to Florida..... yay!

But yeah, it was really fun, and I'm really excited for Mexico and New Zealand! And by the way, if you haven't seen my Florida video, I suggest you see it, so Click Here...... no, seriously.
